Close your eyes and take a trip back in time!

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog!  Wow, I can't believe that is my ninth blog posting! By the title of this post, I'm sure you could maybe be a little confused. I want us to take a trip back in time and reflect with one another. These past several weeks have been joyous to me! I have loved uploading content onto my blog and I tried my best to show my personality through it! My favorite posts from the blog thus far have been: I Just Had A Vision....., What Did You Say, Listen, Hear or See....., Canceled Culture: The Fight to not be......... Canceled? and Are Targeted Ads an Invasion of Privacy? Which blog posting did you enjoy reading the most? I won't be posting as much as I normally have been, but I will still be uploading content.  I'll see you a...

SHHHHHHHH........... Let Your Body Do The Talking!

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog!  Do y'all remember the old saying...... Actions speak louder than words? This week in class we have discussed how we can measure a brand's success and I watched two Ted Talks. One of the Ted Talks stood out to me. Our voice tones only account for about 38% of our communication and 7% for words that are spoken. Nonverbal communication helps us reiterate spoken words while being asse...

Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! This week in class we talked about leadership, media strategies, crisis, and change. As strategic communication professionals, we hope that there will never be a time where we are involved in a scandal or crisis situation. Although we hope that this will never happen, we must be prepared just in case it does. This week I'm going to talk about Ellen Degeneres.  A scandal is an action or event that is considered to be ill in morals, legally wrong which causes backlash from the public. Social media has made it overtly easy for scandals to come to the light and cause the rise and downfall of people and businesses. Let's take a look at Ellen Degeneres. It's 4:00 p.m. on a weekday afternoon. I've just gotten home from school and The Ellen Show is just coming on. My mom and I loved watching the Ellen Show. She seemed so amazing! She reminded me of a big little kid. She was a jokester and a prankster. She showed characteristics that...
