  Hello everyone, and welcome back to my blog! This week in class, we discussed technology and the effects that it has on us. For my blog posting this week, I want to discuss the benefits and risks of technology in children.  Technology plays a vital role in our everyday lives. Even if we aren't the biggest fans of technology, it is almost impossible to get away from it. Whether we need it for school, at home or our jobs, we use it at least once a day. If you don't believe me, just think about your car. If you have a car model between about 2012 to now, it has many technological advances. We use technology so much that it has become natural without realizing it. I have seen many technological advances since I was growing up. When I was in elementary school, we used laptops and computers for AR testing and other activities. Although we discussed a range of topics, I want to focus this blog posting specifically on crowdsourcing. We had a discussion post this week about whether or not teachers should incorporate social media inside of their classrooms. For this blog posting, I'm going to dig deeper into this theory and my beliefs.  Technology has been a part of my life since I can remember. I have seen major advancements in technology fold right in front of my eyes. I always thought about technology in a positive way. Once social media apps began forming and becoming well known I wanted to have an account. Currently, I have social media accounts for: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Linked In, and Tik Tok. Each of these sites serves a different purpose for my life. I use Facebook and Snapchat to stay connected with close family and friends, I use Twitter and Instagram and Tik Tok for entertainment purposes, and I use Linkedin for networking opportunities. Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog!  Many of us have seen the evolution of smart devices. Growing up the first cell phone I had was a flip phone. I thought that it was the coolest thing ever because  I could finally talk on the phone without actually having to be at home or in the house, plus it even had internet. I was stoked! I never imagined that in such a short period of time we would have so many technology-driven advances that the cell phone I had then would not be beneficial for the lifestyle I have not. The cellphone I had then wouldn't be able to carry my favorite apps or handle all of the files that I have on my phone. To many of us, our cellphones are our lifelines and we couldn't live without them and we wouldn't want to. We use our cell phones in every aspect of our lives whether we realize it or not.
